Host Agent Module

An Ignition module to add client-OS related functions to the gateway like file operations, serial ports management, and many others

For people that are looking to make deep-integrations like read/write files, barcode-readers in serial mode, callipers, weighing scales, or printers and more

The module brings instant capabilities of doing great integrations, even Vision or Perspective sessions are not even started

Tired of using barcode ready in Key Wedge?

Tired of building bypass to read/write files in your apps?
Users and operators need high-speed HMI integrations, especially when using locally connected peripherals and also running applications on their machines. Unfortunately the browser barrier makes this impossible, even with a great UI as Perspective. Developpers are then forced to use barcode readers in key wedge, to develop alternatives to file management, which at the end make applications not user-friendly, and/or not reliable at all

Host Agent Module

The host agent module consists of two components
A module that is installed on the Ignition gateway
A executable (macOS, Windows, Linux) to be installed on target host
At first start, a configuration needs to be done on host client to allow/forbid access to local ressources. From that time all allowed resources will be visible in a tag provider of the gateway allowing remote management by the gateway if the host exe is running."
1
Install Host Agent module (1min)
2
From remote PC, download Host Agent from module page
3
Configure host agent executable to be run as a service
4
Start using serial ports, read/write files, etc...

For anybody using Ignition Perspective

that needs to go a further than just a web application

For anybody using Ignition Vision

that needs to get better integration, and debugging capabilities
For anybody that needs peripherals integration, linked to great remote-troubleshooting capabilities
